FESTIVAL DANCERS
A live band and the iconic sounds of the bouzouki provide the soundtrack for the performances.

POPULAR GREEK DANCES
Kalamatianos
The national dance of Greece, and featured in the writings of Homer. A folk dance where dancers hold hands and move in a circle formation.
Pentozali
An energetic dance originating in Crete. Led by a lead dancer performing variations while following dancers perform prescribed steps.
Sirtaki
Made famous by Zorba the Greek. Known for it's steady dragging steps that steadily builds in pace into a lively, energetic tempo.
Tsamiko
Considered an icon of Greek strength and bravery, traditionally danced by men. Recognized for its acrobatics, deep squats, and leaps.
Zeibekiko
An improvised dance for men, where one or two men "solo" dance with steps and leaps while surrounded by a ring of kneeling dancers
OPEN DANCE
When the performances end, the dance floor opens to everyone the last 30 minutes before each hour and after final show. Try out some Greek dances yourself, our dancers would be happy to show you the steps.
On Monday we offer free "Learn to Dance Greek" sessions led by our festival dancers.

Tour our Cathedral to explore
its Byzantine mosaics, glittering stained glass, and learn more about the beliefs that shape our faith and community today.

CULTURAL CENTER
Explore the rich history of Greece through an engaging museum quality exhibition.
Lectures on Greek culture, history, literature, and contemporary life will be hosted by professors from the OSU Modern Greek Studies program.
